Experience art at Goldfields
The Goldfields Art Centre is the focal point of the Kalgoorlie art scene, and the only multi-functional arts venue in the Goldfields. First opened in 1993 to coincide with Kalgoorlie’s centennial year, the venue itself is owned by the Perth Theatre Trust, and managed by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
It’s a large, airy space, and provides fertile grounds for a range of different artistic and cultural attractions. Inside you’ll find a 700-seat auditorium, which is available for theatre shows, concerts, and seminars. There are multiple gallery spaces, and a dedicated A-class gallery for particularly special works. There’s also an ensemble room, function rooms, meeting rooms, and a dance studio.
The Goldfields Art Centre Gallery upstairs is home to diverse year-round exhibitions. You can discover public programs showcasing the work of local, national, and state touring artists.
The Arts Centre plays host to a wide variety of events and performances, and is one of our highlights of things to do in Kalgoorlie at night time. From grand concerts, musicals, and theatre performances, to travelling artists, comedians, dance performances, and family-friendly shows, there’s something for everyone.
So check out what’s on, and make a night of it at the Kalgoorlie Arts Centre.
What to know before you go
